Currently I am recreating some Zodiac symbols I had from an old calender I collected from a chinese restaurant. I am recreating them in Illustrator. This is just a sample, I will post some more as they come along.

Dr. Holman

I am in the process of having my teeth straightened, and my Orthodontist is an avid hunter. He knew I used to work at Hart Signs and was wondering if I could make a sign for his hunting cabin. I made this design to give the backwoods feel by using multiple browns, but a little more modern feel by excluding high details and using shilouettes. He enjoyed the sign very much and has it posted outside of his private road.
The sign is 4' x 4' 1/2 MDO board w/High Grade Vinyls and outdoor paint.

Classic Garrick Artwork / Ben & Elledge

I used to draw a comic strip for fun called Ben & Elledge, about my two friends Ben Simonsen and Elledge Bowers...they were funny and stupid and full of inside jokes. I thought it would be fun to show you all a little glimpse into some artwork I used to do before I knew what to...do.
These will be called "Classic Garrick Artwork"

Horse for Jamie

I was asked by my brother Jesse to draw a picture of a horse for his wife / my sister-in-law Jamie, for her birthday. I did this piece at 11" x 17" on Brown Paper with Pirsmacolor pencils. I really enjoyed doing it, it took quite a while, but I am always interested in projects that take me out of my comfort zone.

Tim and Darin's Boat

This summer my good friends Tim and Darin bought a brand new boat.
I have done the boat name on all of their boats for the last 4 boats.
Normally the boats name is "Private Reserve" but this new addition is called the "Knotty Bouys", and it was quite a process to get the name just right.
But we did and it looks great.

Effing Brutal

I was commissioned by a man in Seattle, WA to draw this nice little piece about a graphic novel that he is producing. I don't know if it will ever get published but it was fun to do, I drew it in pencil, inked it, scanned it, and colored the whole thing in Adobe Photoshop. It was a learning project...learned the hard way. Enjoy

Larping Piece

I was hired to do this piece for S.L.U.G. Magazine. It is an article about "Larping" it is a form of Dungeons & Dragons where people dress up as their characters and have mock battles...it is quite interesting.
